The School and Role
This small, specialist provision in Birmingham is looking to appoint a resilient Youth Worker / Behaviour Support Assistant to support pupils with social, emotional and behavioural needs. With small class sizes and a high staff-to-pupil ratio, the school focuses on re-engaging learners through strong relationships and structured support. The role includes behaviour management, mentoring and classroom support. This full-time role is long term with potential to become permanent.
Requirements
The desired Youth Worker / Behaviour Support Assistant will have;
- Experience working with young people
- Background in youth work, care or support settings
- Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
- Ability to build positive relationships
- A resilient and consistent approach
