We aim to move quickly to prevent gaps in education. Once we receive a referral and a completed Risk Assessment, we work to match a suitably qualified tutor within 48 to 72 hours.
We provide a full vetting letter for every tutor assigned to your provision, confirming all safer recruitment checks have been completed in line with 'Keeping Children Safe in Education' (KCSIE) guidelines.
While our tutors are experienced in planning and delivering bespoke lessons, we encourage collaboration. Tutors can follow a curriculum provided by the school or develop a tailored programme based on the student's specific learning outcomes.
If a tutor is unwell, our dedicated tuition consultants will notify you immediately and, where possible, work to provide a suitable cover tutor to ensure learning is not disrupted.
Tutors are trained to report any concerns immediately to your school's Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and our internal safeguarding team. A written 'Record of Concern' is provided for your records.
We offer total flexibility. Bookings can range from short-term interventions of a few weeks to long-term, ongoing support, depending on the student's needs and funding.
We can facilitate tuition on school premises, in local community hubs (such as libraries), online via our secure platforms, or in the student's home (provided a responsible adult is present).
You must review the 'New Booking Checklist'. This includes reviewing the Risk Assessment, reading the student's background information (such as their EHCP or PEP), and ensuring you have the contact details for the school's Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).
Tutors are required to keep evidence of work and complete weekly progress reports. These are vital for demonstrating the impact of your tuition to the school and local authority.
If a student is not present within 10 minutes of the start time, you must contact your agency and the parent/carer immediately to ensure the student's safety.
Yes, if the school provides less than 12 hours' notice of a cancellation, you will still be paid in full for that session.
In most circumstances, tutors are not responsible for providing any personal care, such as administering medicine, cooking, or toileting; this is strictly the responsibility of the supervising adult. Any changes to this would need to be approved in advance with Vision for Education.
You must report concerns immediately to the school's DSL and your Vision for Education consultant. All details must be documented on a 'Record of Concern' form.
Any trips or visits must be approved in advance by contacting Vision for Education with regards to funding, risk assessments and related safeguarding considerations. A 'Trips and Visits Consent Form' must be signed by the parent/carer and sent to Vision for Education before the trip takes place.
Sessions are flexible and can be held in your home, at the student's school, in a local library, or via our secure online platform.
Yes. For any session held in the home, a responsible adult (over 18) must always be present in the house to oversee the session and ensure the tutor's and student's safety.
If a student cannot attend, please notify your tutor in the first instance or, if you are unable to contact them, get in touch with your Vision for Education branch at least one hour before the session is due to start.
Every booking starts with a risk assessment. Our tutors are REC Audited, undergo enhanced DBS checks, and follow a strict Staff Code of Conduct.
We value your input. You can complete a Parent Feedback Form at any time or contact your local branch directly to discuss your child's progress.
Any concerns regarding a tutor or the session arrangements should be reported immediately to Vision for Education. We have a Designated Safeguarding Lead specifically to support our tuition services.
Your tutor will start by getting to know you and how you like to learn. You will work together to discuss each other's expectations so you both know what to expect.
Your tutor will plan lessons tailored to your goals. They will use resources that make subjects engaging and will often check in with you to see if the work is at the right level.
To keep everyone safe, lessons must take place in a shared area like a dining room or kitchen. Tutors are not allowed to hold sessions in bedrooms.
We will provide you with Online Safety Advice. This includes making sure you are in a shared room at home and that you are dressed appropriately for school.
Your tutor is there to support you. If you have any worries about your lessons or anything else, you can tell them, and they will help you find the right support.
Yes! We have a Student Feedback Form specifically for you to tell us what is going well and what could be better.
