SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Burgess Hill
Salary: £14.24 –£14.50 per hour (35hrs per week)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Permanent (temp to perm)

The Role

We are looking for a compassionate and reliable SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive classroom team. In this role, you will work closely with the class teacher to support students with a range of learning difficulties and complex special needs. Duties will include providing personal care where required, such as assisting with toileting, feeding, and general daily living tasks. You will work with students both 1:1 and in small groups. This role is available for an immediate start and will become permanent after a successful temp to perm period.

Requirements

To be successful in this SEN Teaching Assistant role, you should have:

• A friendly and nurturing approach
• A patient and caring nature
• Good organisation skills and flexibility

You must also have:
• Experience working children or adults with additional needs

• A genuine passion for working in education
