Starting ASAP.

What do you think is the key to sparking a love of learning in students and do you incorporate the same passion in the education? We are looking for someone that can work part time in a primary school in Haxey.

Are you looking to start a rewarding career in education? Do you have a passion for supporting young people and helping them achieve their full potential? Vision for Education is looking for enthusiastic, committed and passionate individuals to join our National Teaching Assistant Programme and begin their journey as a Trainee Teaching Assistant in local schools.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with little or no prior school experience who is eager to work with children and develop the skills needed to become a successful Teaching Assistant. As part of the programme, you will receive high-quality training and ongoing support before completing a paid placement in a school setting.

As a Trainee Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside experienced teachers and support staff to help pupils with their learning, encourage positive behaviour and build strong relationships with students. You will support pupils across different age groups and key stages while developing your own confidence and practical classroom experience.

About the school

Vision for Education works with a range of supportive and welcoming schools across the Scunthorpe area. These schools are committed to creating positive learning environments where every child is encouraged to achieve their best. Staff work collaboratively to support pupils academically, socially and emotionally, and value the important role Teaching Assistants play in helping children succeed.

Through our National Teaching Assistant Programme, you will gain the knowledge, training and hands-on experience needed to become a confident member of the classroom team while working in schools that are dedicated to developing both pupils and staff.

Requirements:

The desired Primary Teaching Assistant will:

• Have a passion for working with children and young people
• Be committed to completing virtual evening training sessions as part of the programme
• Be available to complete a paid placement in a school
• Be eager to start working as a Teaching Assistant upon completion of the training
• Demonstrate a positive attitude, resilience and willingness to learn
• Have transferable skills from roles such as care, youth work, coaching or customer service (desirable but not essential)

Vision for Education is committed to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults. We take our responsibilities extremely seriously. All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
