About the Role
As an SEN teaching assistant, you will:
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to support pupils with ASD
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support tailored to individual needs
- Support pupils with engagement, communication, and emotional regulation
- Assist in implementing structured routines and behaviour strategies
- Adapt learning activities to support different abilities and learning styles
- Help create a safe, consistent, and inclusive learning environment

Requirements
To be considered for the role of SEN teaching assistant, you will:
- Have experience supporting children with SEN, particularly ASD
- Be confident supporting behaviour and promoting positive outcomes
- Have a patient, calm, and adaptable approach
- Possess a DBS registered on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one)
- Be committed to supporting pupils with additional needs
- Have experience working with children of primary or secondary age
