About the role

Vision for Education are on the hunt for Teaching Assistants to join us to help support learners with a range of special educational needs and disabilities. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact by delivering tailored, engaging, and inclusive education to students who require additional support to reach their full potential.

Hours are 8:45 – 3:30pm, working in a Primary SEND School.

Whether you are experienced in education or looking to take your first step into a rewarding career, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
  • Work with small groups or on a one-to-one basis to support learning
  • Assist with classroom preparation and organisation
  • Help manage classroom behaviour in a positive and proactive way
  • Support students with additional needs, including SEND where required
  • Encourage pupil confidence, independence, and participation

What We’re Looking For

  • A positive, patient, and adaptable attitude
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A genuine passion for working with children and supporting education
  • Previous experience in a SEND setting is desirable but not essential
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) are beneficial but not essential

About you:

To be considered for the Teaching Assistant role, you will:

Have strong communications skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with students

Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.

All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service
