Vision for Education is currently recruiting enthusiastic, caring, and adaptable SEN Teaching Assistants to work within an ALN base located within a mainstream school setting in Caerphilly.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant in Caerphilly, you will support primary-aged pupils within an ALN base located within a mainstream school setting. You will help pupils engage with learning, build confidence, develop communication skills, and achieve both personal and academic milestones within a supportive, structured, and inclusive environment.

The SEN Teaching Assistant Role
You may support pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Additional Learning Needs, including:
• MLD – Moderate Learning Difficulties
• SLD – Severe Learning Difficulties
• ASC – Autism Spectrum Condition
• EBD – Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
• Provide one-to-one and small group support to primary-aged pupils
• Assist teachers with classroom activities and lesson delivery
• Adapt learning resources to meet individual pupil needs
• Support pupils with communication, behaviour, and emotional wellbeing
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents/carers
• Encourage confidence, independence, and engagement in learning
• Work collaboratively within an ALN base and mainstream school environment

Ideal candidates will have:
• A patient, positive, and adaptable approach
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

• Experience supporting children or young people
• CACHE Level 2 or Level 3 qualifications (desirable but not essential)
