Vision for Education is recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant to work on a part-time basis at a Primary School in Ashington (NE63) for the remainder of the academic year.

The School and Role

Vision for Education is recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant to work on a part-time basis at a Primary School in Ashington (NE63) for the remainder of the academic year. The SEND Teaching Assistant appointed for the position will be supporting a range of KS2 SEND pupils, delivering activities/interventions. The role is for 2.5 days each week, and would ideally require someone with a background in supporting children with additional needs. This is a ‘Good’ Primary School, where staff are committed to supporting each child and using adaptive strategies to meet children’s needs.

Requirements

The desired SEND Teaching Assistant will have;

- Experience of working with primary school aged children

- Experience of working with pupils with SEND

- A passion for the progress of primary school pupils

- An ability to work as part of a team
