- As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students with special educational needs and additional learning requirements, helping to create a positive and inclusive educational experience for every learner.
- Your primary responsibility will be to provide tailored support that enables each student to overcome barriers to learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential within a nurturing school environment.
- You will contribute to fostering a culture where every student feels valued, respected, and encouraged, celebrating individual strengths, achievements, and diversity across the school community.
- Working closely with teachers and wider support staff, you will be an integral part of a collaborative team, delivering effective and coordinated support to meet the unique needs of each learner.
- In addition, you will support the implementation of individual learning plans, encourage student engagement and independence, and maintain strong communication with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure a holistic and consistent approach to student development and wellbeing.

About you:
To be considered for the SEND Teaching Assistant position, you will:
- Have previous experience working with children and young people with a range of special educational needs, such as learning difficulties, autism, and sensory needs.
- Suitable qualifications such as Youth Work, Health and Social Care or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools are desired but not essential.
- Have strong communications skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with students
- Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.
