About the role
Level 3 Teaching Assistant (Maternity Cover)
Start Date: September 2026
End Date: May 2027
We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a Primary School based in Dukinfield, Tameside on a maternity cover basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to work across Year 3 and Year 4, supporting pupils and contributing to a positive and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support teaching and learning across Key Stage 2.
- Work closely with class teachers in Year 3 and Year 4.
- Deliver high-quality classroom support across the curriculum.
- Independently lead whole-class sessions, including covering PPA for one full day per week.
- Provide supervision and support during lunchtime periods.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
- Extensive experience in Key Stage 2.
- Confidence in supporting a wide range of subjects across the curriculum.
- Proven ability to lead whole-class teaching sessions.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A proactive and flexible approach to supporting pupils and staff.
