About the Role:
Vision for Education is currently seeking flexible and reliable Teaching Assistants to work on an ad hoc basis across a range of welcoming primary schools in Thurrock. This role is perfect for individuals looking for flexible work, whether you are balancing other commitments or looking to gain experience across different school settings.
As an ad hoc Teaching Assistant, you will support schools on a day-to-day basis, assisting in the classroom and helping to ensure a positive and engaging learning environment for pupils.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the class teacher in delivering lessons and managing the classroom
- Work with small groups or on a 1:1 basis where required
- Assist pupils with additional needs, including SEN
- Help maintain a positive and structured learning environment
- Provide general classroom support and assist with daily activities
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience working with children (in schools or similar settings)
- A flexible and adaptable approach to work
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A positive, proactive attitude
- A genuine interest in supporting children’s learning and development
