The School and Role
We are looking for a full-time Early Years Teaching Assistant on behalf of a large, community-focused primary school in the South Shields area of South Tyneside. The successful Teaching Assistant will be expected to deliver both general and one-to-one support, working as part of an established team in the Nursery section of the school. The role would be Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 3.30pm. This school operates within an ethos emphasising both quality and comprehensive care to deliver an excellent early years development programme. The school is ideally seeking a Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistant, however would be open to other qualifications if their gained experience is relevant.
Requirements
The desired Early Years Teaching Assistant will have;
- Experience of working with primary school aged children
- Experience of working with pupils with SEND
- Experience delivering small group interventions and support
- A passion for ensuring the progress of early years pupils
- An ability to work as part of a team
- Ideally Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, however other relevant experience is desirable
