Vision for Education are seeking a Youth Worker to work within our Primary and Secondary SEND schools that caters to students with learning difficulties, and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.

About the role

About the role (Youth Worker - Week Days)

  • Supporting young people with Special Educational Need’s throughout the school day.
  • Building a strong rapport with the students to encourage them to attend and thrive in school.
  • Following the guidance of the teacher, while taking initiative to manage behaviours within the classroom.
  • Working 8:30 - 16:00 Monday to Friday.
  • Working term time only.

About the school

  • Settings are located in and around Bristol.
  • Caters to students with moderate needs, learning difficulties and Social, emotional, and mental health needs.
  • Some schools and provisions are easily accessable with parking and transport links, although access to a vehicle would be advantageous.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Youth Worker - Week Days you will:

  • Have experience working with indidviduals with challenging behaviours is desired but not required.
  • Be able to obtain suitable references and a valid DBS check*
  • Have a non-judgmental, caring and patient approach.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

  • Willingness to obtain an enhanced DBS certificate.
