Are you a current or an aspiring Youth Worker who wants to make a difference to the lives of Children and Young People in the Leeds area with mental health issues? If so, then this might be the role for you!

About the role

As a Youth Worker, you will be supporting children on a 1:1 and small group basis with their daily routine at school and assisting them to take part in activities which will enhance their social and emotional skills as well as increasing educational attainment. In addition to working with pupils, you will also be responsible for working in partnership with families and social workers to encourage attendance and commitment.

State of the art Special School in Leeds that that cater for young people with Social, Emotional and Mental health issues that have been excluded from mainstream school.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Youth Worker - Schools you will:
  • 6 months of experience working with children or adults with Challenging Behaviour or Mental Health Issues
  • Be willing to attend a free 2 day Behaviour Management Course during the Easter Holidays
  • Be available Monday - Friday 08.30 - 15:30

Salary

£70 to £71 per day

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
  • 6 months minimum experience working with children or adults with challenging behaviour or mental health issues within the last 2 years.
