Vision for Education are seeking a Year Manager for our client school in Glossop.
About the role
Working within my client's inclusion team, you will provide pastoral leadership and support to students in one year group.
The main responsibilities of the role are, but not limited to:
- Monitoring student attendance and supporting students and their families to improve this where necessary, using targeted interventions
- Monitoring and supporting students' behaviour
- Providing 121 and small group interventions to target attendance, behaviour and wellbeing
- Provide support and guidance relating to pastoral matters such as: mental health, friendships and social and emotional needs
- Working in collaboration with the inclusion team, SEN team and form tutors
- Supporting students at break times when necessary
- Attending whole school meetings
- Communicating with parents and carers by phone and meetings
- Leading weekly year group assembly
- Providing support in other areas of school when required
Required from January 2025. Working full-time, Monday to Friday 08:30 - 16:00.

Requirements
To be considered for the role of Year Manager you will:
- Have previous experience in inclusion support at secondary level
- Or, have previous experience as a coach/mentor/counsellor to young people
- Have GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4/C or higher
- Can provide suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
