We are working with a friendly and welcoming small primary school in Hull, to recruit an experienced and committed School Business Manager.

This is a full-time, term-time only role, starting in April and running until the end of the academic year, with the potential of a permanent appointment for the right candidate.

The school is at the heart of its local community and prides itself on a supportive staff team and positive working environment.

The Role

As School Business Manager, you will play a key role in the smooth and effective running of the school, working closely with the Headteacher and governors. Responsibilities will include:

• Financial management, budgeting and monitoring
• HR administration and payroll liaison
• Premises and health & safety oversight
• Procurement and contract management
• Supporting compliance and school operations

The Ideal Candidate

• Has previous experience in a school business management or similar role
• Is organised, proactive and able to work independently
• Has strong financial and administrative skills
• Is confident working as part of a small, close-knit team
• Has a good understanding of primary school operations (desirable)
