The Role and School

Are you an enthusiastic key stage 1 teacher ready for your next role in a highly regarded Primary School in North Peterborough? We are looking for an engaging and energetic Year 1/ 2 Teacher to join a supportive and happy staff team. The role is to cover a teacher who is going on maternity leave.

The class size consists of 25 children and has the support of an experienced teaching assistant in class.

Key Responsibilities

• Help create a positive and comfortable environment for the class, whilst also monitoring classroom management and assisting with behaviour support
• Be able to adapt and adjust various activities and experiences so that each class member feels appropriately challenged
• Be responsible for a mixed Year 1/ 2 class within school, showing respect and care for each student whilst also showing a good level of tolerance

Requirements

• Hold a QTS in the UK (Qualified Primary Teacher Status)
• Have previous experience working within key stage 1
• Have strong team-working and communication skills to work efficiently and effectively with a wider team.
• Have a confident approach to behaviour management

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this Year 1/ 2 Teacher position are:

• QTS
• Experience working as a class teacher
