Vision for Education are recruiting a Trainee Youth Worker to work in a specialist school setting in Salisbury, supporting children and young people with a wide range of additional needs on a full time basis.

About the role
• Trainee Youth Worker supporting pupils who need consistency structure and positive role models
• Working with children and young people with ASC ADHD PMLD SLD and SEMH
• Supporting behaviour emotional regulation and communication needs
• Helping pupils feel safe settled and ready to learn
• Working closely with teachers therapists and support staff
• Full time hours 8:30am to 3:30pm
• Term time only

About you
• Calm patient and non judgemental
• Interested in working with children and young people with additional needs
• Comfortable supporting a range of behaviours and learning needs
• Experience in care youth work sports coaching or similar helpful but not essential
• Level 3 qualification desirable but not required
• Able to provide references and complete an enhanced DBS check
