Your role will focus on helping pupils feel safe, engaged, and confident while encouraging independence and progress within a structured learning environment.

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Is keen to learn and develop within an SEN setting
  • Understands the importance of trust and consistency when supporting pupils
  • Works well as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Is dependable, adaptable, and proactive
  • Maintains strong safeguarding awareness and professional boundaries
  • Is motivated to grow and build a long-term career as a Teaching Assistant

About the Role:

  • Full-time, long-term Trainee TA position in a specialist SEN school
  • Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis, in small groups, and within the classroom
  • Assisting with communication, emotional regulation, daily routines, and learning activities
  • Working closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff
  • Receiving structured training, mentoring, and hands-on guidance throughout

Why Join as a Trainee TA?

  • A supported entry route into SEN education
  • Valuable experience across different age groups and school settings
  • Ongoing professional development and skill-building
  • The chance to make a genuine impact on pupils’ lives
  • Potential progression into a permanent SEN Teaching Assistant role
