Job Title: Primary School Teaching Assistant

Location: Bridgwater & or surrounding area

Salary: £14.24 p/h - increased if experienced or qualified

Contract Type: Full-time & Part-time available

Start Date: ASAP

We pride ourselves on supplying strong and dedicated support staff into schools we partner with, to ensure the students learning and development needs are met.

We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our primary team. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers to support learning across the curriculum and help create a positive and engaging classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support pupils’ learning in the classroom, individually and in small groups
  • Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom organisation
  • Provide targeted support for pupils with additional needs (including SEND, where applicable)
  • Encourage positive behaviour and promote inclusion
  • Support pupils’ emotional wellbeing and personal development
  • Assist with playground supervision and school activities when required

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience working with primary-aged children (desirable but not essential)
  • A positive, patient, and caring attitude
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification – desirable)
