Teaching Assistant (Full Time / Part Time) - Newport

Salary: £444.60 – £509.60 per week (dependent on experience and qualifications)

The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting classroom teachers and helping pupils reach their full potential. Your responsibilities may include:

• Supporting learning activities within the classroom

• Working with small groups or providing one-to-one support for pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN)

• Assisting pupils across the Foundation Phase to Key Stage 2

• Helping to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

Flexibility, adaptability, and a genuine passion for working with children are essential for this role.

Requirements

• Experience working with primary school-aged children

• Experience supporting pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN)

• A strong commitment to supporting pupil progress and wellbeing

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

• Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (support available)

• Registration with the Educational Workforce Council (EWC) (support available)

• Welsh language skills are desirable but not essential
