Requirements

To be considered for the role of Teaching Assistant you will have:

• Experience working with children or young people in an educational or similar setting

• A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• A patient, flexible and supportive approach

• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

• Suitable references, a valid Enhanced DBS (or be willing to apply), and Right to Work in the UK

About the role

Vision for Education are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic and motivated Teaching Assistant Level 2 to join a supportive and hardworking team. The successful Teaching Assistant will work closely with teaching staff to support students’ learning, development and wellbeing, helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning activities within the classroom under the direction of teaching staff

• Work with individuals and small groups of students to support their academic progress

• Assist in the preparation and delivery of learning resources and classroom activities

• Support students with additional learning needs, helping them to access the curriculum

• Promote positive behaviour and contribute to a safe, inclusive learning environment

• Provide feedback to teachers on student progress and engagement

• Support with pastoral care and student wellbeing where required
