£160 - £230 per day (salary is dependent on experience and/or qualifications)

The School and the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate PE Teacher to join a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Rochdale on a full-time, one term cover starting April 2026.

You’ll be teaching PE across KS3 and KS4 and Science to KS3, delivering engaging, creative lessons that inspire confidence and performance skills. The school has well-motivated students, strong leadership support, and a clear commitment to professional development. PE is valued within the curriculum, with opportunities to contribute to extracurricular activities.

You’ll be joining a dedicated and collaborative department, with access to good facilities, specialist resources, and free onsite parking.

Requirements (Please Apply Only If You Meet the Below)

To be considered for this Teacher of PE with Science role, you must:

• Hold QTS or a PGCE (UK-recognised teaching qualification)
• Have recent experience teaching PE with the ability or desire to offer KS3 Science
• Be available full-time for a one term cover
• Demonstrate strong classroom management and the ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities
• Have excellent communication and organisational skills
• Be able to provide suitable references, a valid Enhanced DBS (or be willing to apply), and Right to Work in the UK
