We are seeking a creative and passionate Social Sciences Teacher to join a progressive 11–18 secondary school in September. The successful Social Sciences Teacher will join a forward-thinking team in a school that is part of a well-established Multi-Academy Trust. High expectations are set for all students, and the school is committed to removing barriers to learning.

This is a permanent Social Sciences Teacher position so needs to be able to start in September. This is a ‘Good’ rated school, where pupils have been praised by OFSTED for how they treat each other and adults with respect. Behaviour at this school is exemplary, and staff have access to excellent facilities and state-of-the-art classrooms.

Social Science teachers at this school must be able to teach Sociology and Psychology across both the Secondary school and Sixth Form site. Currently there is a good uptake of students for Social Sciences at this school. Suitable for ECT’s!

Requirements

The desired Social Sciences Teacher will:

  • Plan, deliver and teach Social Sciences lessons at both KS4 and KS5.
  • Ensure that all students make progress through monitoring and supporting individual children and teaching groups.
  • Promote and support the inclusion of students, including those with specific needs.
  • Have effective communication skills, be reliable and hardworking individual.
