We are looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant for an SEN setting in Blackpool, to start immediately or September 2022.
About the role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to make a difference to pupils lives and their experience of education, especially those who have become disengaged from education.
The candidate will be at least Level 2 qualified as a Teaching Assistant, with desirable experience of working in an SEN setting previously.
The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will be required to work with small classes and 1:1 ranging from ages 2-19, assisting pupils in overcoming barriers to learning and dealing with behavioural issues.
About the school
The school offers places for pupils aged 2–19 years old and have just expanded onto a second campus site in the local area. Due to this, the setting have extra spaces for provision and are looking for experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to work with individual students and small group classes.
Pupils have a wide range of needs including pupils with Moderate Learning difficulties (MLD) pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), pupils with Autism (ASD) and pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). Throughout the school some pupils have additional needs arising from sensory impairments and physical disabilities.
Requirements
- Have experience working with either small groups or 1:1 with students who may demonstrate challenging behaviour and who may have Special Educational Needs.
- Be confident and have a positive approach that engages students in their learning.
- Have excellent classroom management skills.
- Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.

Salary
£65 to £85 per day
