About the role

SEN Teacher - Bristol & Surrounding Areas

Full-Time | Long-Term | Immediate & Future Starts

We’re looking for a full-time SEN Teacher to join one of our inclusive schools in Bristol and surrounding areas. This is a long-term role for an SEN Teacher who wants to make a real difference to children and young people with a wide range of SEN needs.

This role would suit a SEN Teacher who is patient, adaptable, and passionate about supporting pupils’ learning and wellbeing. The school values consistency, teamwork, and a positive approach to behaviour and learning, giving the SEN Teacher the time and support to make an impact.

Our schools support pupils with autism, learning difficulties, communication needs, sensory processing differences, and SEMH challenges. Small classes and strong teaching assistant support allow the SEN Teacher to provide personalised learning and help pupils progress academically, socially, and emotionally.

We’re looking for a SEN Teacher who:

  • Is calm, flexible, and able to adapt their teaching style to different pupils’ needs

  • Has experience as a SEN Teacher, or a strong interest in developing in this area

  • Understands how to support communication, sensory needs, and emotional regulation

  • Builds trusting, consistent relationships with pupils as a SEN Teacher

  • Works closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and wider school staff

  • Can manage behaviour positively, with structure and empathy

  • Differentiates learning and provides personalised support as a SEN Teacher

  • Has a strong understanding of safeguarding and inclusion

  • Is looking for a long-term SEN Teacher role where they can see real progress over time

About the Role

  • Full-time, long-term SEN Teacher position in Bristol and nearby areas

  • Teaching pupils with a broad range of SEN needs

  • Small class sizes with strong TA support

  • Planning and delivering lessons tailored to pupils’ needs as a SEN Teacher

  • Supporting pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development

  • Working as part of a collaborative, supportive team

  • Making a meaningful difference every day as a SEN Teacher

The role begins on a temporary contract, with a strong opportunity to become permanent for the right SEN Teacher.

Why Work as a SEN Teacher?

  • Friendly, supportive staff teams and leadership

  • Access to SEN-specific training and professional development

  • Work across a broad range of SEN needs and age groups as a SEN Teacher

  • Long-term stability in a role where your skills, patience, and expertise as a SEN Teacher are valued

  • A genuinely rewarding experience for any SEN Teacher looking to make a lasting impact

If you’re a SEN Teacher looking for a full-time, long-term role in Bristol, and want to make a real difference to pupils’ lives, we’d love to hear from you.
