Are you an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to build valuable classroom experience from September? Do you have a passion for working with young people and developing your teaching career? Vision for Education are currently recruiting ECT Cover Teachers in Cannock to support secondary schools across the area.

About the role

As an ECT Cover Teacher, you will step into the classroom in the absence of the regular teacher, delivering pre-set work, managing classroom behaviour, and ensuring students remain engaged in their learning.

This role is ideal for Early Career Teachers seeking to build confidence and experience across a range of school settings. Whether you are completing your induction period or looking for flexible teaching opportunities alongside it, Vision for Education can support your journey.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of secondary subjects
  • Maintain a positive, inclusive and productive classroom environment
  • Manage behaviour in line with school policies
  • Support students with learning and engagement
  • Provide feedback to teaching staff on lesson progress and outcomes

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards ECT induction

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
