Early Years Teaching Assistant
Hours: Monday to Friday | 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM

We’re seeking a qualified Early Years Teaching Assistant (EYFS TA) to join a warm, welcoming primary school in North Tyneside. The school is known for its inclusive and engaging environment, where children are encouraged to thrive through play-based learning and curiosity-driven activities. This role is ideal for someone with the right training and experience, who can support children with SEND and make a meaningful impact in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities

• Support play-based learning activities in the EYFS classroom

• Work closely with teachers to create a safe, nurturing environment

• Provide tailored support for pupils with SEND needs

• Assist with preparing engaging resources and leading group/1:1 activities

• Be a caring, reliable role model during these crucial early years

What We’re Looking For

• A relevant childcare/teaching assistant qualification (minimum Level 2, ideally Level 3 in Early Years or equivalent)

• Experience supporting early years or primary-aged children

• Confidence working with pupils with SEND

• A nurturing, enthusiastic approach to child development

• A proactive, flexible team player
