The Role – Primary Higher Level Teaching Assistant in Blackpool, Lancashire

We are seeking a confident and skilled Primary Higher Level Teaching Assistant in Blackpool, Lancashire to start in April 2026, working for the remainder of the 2025/26 academic year. This exciting Primary Higher Level Teaching Assistant in Blackpool, Lancashire role will involve covering PPA across Reception, Year 2 and Year 6, as well as assisting with supervising swimming lessons.

As a Primary Higher Level Teaching Assistant in Blackpool, Lancashire, you will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons during PPA cover, ensuring continuity of learning and maintaining high expectations in the classroom.

This role would suit a Primary Higher Level Teaching Assistant in Blackpool, Lancashire who is adaptable, organised and confident leading full class lessons across different year groups, with a strong understanding of SEND support.

This primary HLTA position in Blackpool, Lancashire, is on a part-time basis, with responsibility for 16 hours across Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

It is a HLTA position that would be well suited to either an ECT looking to gain further class teaching experience, or an experienced TA who does have experience covering full classes across the primary age range.
