About the Role
Vision for Education is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to work in a friendly and supportive nursery setting in Chelmsford. This role is ideal for someone passionate about early years education and committed to helping children thrive in a safe and engaging environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the learning and development of children aged 0–5 years
• Assist in planning and delivering fun, age-appropriate activities
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating nursery environment
• Support daily routines including mealtimes, changing, and nap times
• Observe and record children’s development and progress
• Build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff

Requirements

• Previous experience working with children in a nursery, school, or childcare setting
• A nurturing, patient, and positive attitude
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A relevant childcare qualification (Level 2 or Level 3 preferred)
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
