Lunchtime Assistant

Lincoln, Lincolnshire

Hours: Part-time (typically 1–1.5 hours per day, Monday–Friday during term time)April 2026

A welcoming primary school in Lincoln is seeking a reliable and caring Lunchtime Assistant to help supervise pupils during the lunchtime period. This role plays an important part in ensuring that children have a safe, enjoyable, and well-organised break time while maintaining positive behaviour and supporting pupil wellbeing.

The successful candidate will work as part of the school’s lunchtime supervision team, helping to oversee pupils in the dining hall, playground, and other designated areas. You will support children as they eat their meals, encourage positive social interaction, and ensure that school policies around behaviour and safety are followed.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Lunchtime Assistant you will:

• A friendly, patient, and approachable attitude
• Good communication skills and the ability to engage positively with children
• Reliability and punctuality
• The ability to remain calm and confident when supervising groups of pupils
• Previous experience working with children
