Learning Support Assistant

Location: Burgess Hill
Salary: £490-£500 per week
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Long term (will become permanent for the right candidate)

The Role

We are looking for a compassionate and reliable Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive classroom team. In this role as a learning support assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support students with SEND and a range of learning difficulties. Duties will include providing personal care where required, such as assisting with toileting, feeding, and general daily living tasks. You will work with students both 1:1 and in small groups. This long-term role is available for an immediate start and will become permanent for the right candidate.

This welcoming SEN school, located in Burgess Hill, supports pupils aged 2-19 and places high value on meeting each child’s individual needs, including personal care. The school also has great transport links and ample parking for drivers.

Requirements

To be successful in this Learning Support Assistant role, you should have:

• A friendly and nurturing approach
• A patient and caring nature
• Good organisation skills and flexibility

You must also have:
• Experience working with children in any setting
• A genuine passion for working in education
