A specialist SEND provision in Stockton-on-Tees are looking to appoint a Learning Mentor to work directly with students ages 11-16 who have a diagnosis of Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH). This is a full time Learning Mentor role which may become permanent for the right person.

About the role

As a Learning Mentor, the successful candidate will be working with students who may present difficult and challenging behaviours, and who may struggle to regulate their emotions. The role of an Learning Mentor also involves supporting the students develop their life skills, independence and social skills, as well as their academic studies.

The desired Learning Mentor will have;

  • Experience of working with secondary school aged children
  • Experience of working with pupils with SEMH
  • A passion for education and helping people
  • A nurturing and engaging personality

Salary

£360 to £450 per week

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
