The School and Role:

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Year 5/6 Class Teacher to join a successful, small rural primary school near Uckfield on a full-time, fixed-term basis from February 2026 until August 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a close-knit school community with supportive leadership and engaged pupils. You will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons across the Year 5/6 curriculum, supporting pupils as they prepare for the transition to secondary school while promoting both academic achievement and personal development.

The ideal Year 5/6 Class Teacher will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential

• Experience teaching in Upper Key Stage 2 (Year 5 and/or Year 6)

• A secure understanding of the KS2 curriculum

• Strong classroom management and organisational skills

• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
