The School and Role

We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work in a friendly, organised primary school in Northumberland Alnwick. The successful teaching assistant will be working as one to one support to a pupil in Year 1. Working as part of an established team, the desired Key Stage 1Teaching Assistant will be nurturing and calm and able to deliver solid one to one support to an individual with SEND. The role would be part time working Monday to Thursday 12.30 – 15.30 and Friday 8.30 – 15.30. If these hours don’t suit your current availability, but you are interested, please get in touch and we can discuss whether any adaptations can be made. This school has recently been rated as ‘good’ by Ofsted. This school believes in an embedded creative curriculum in all areas of learning.

Requirements

The desired Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant will have;

  • Experience of working with primary school aged children
  • Experience of working with pupils with SEND and offering one to one support
  • A passion for the progress of primary school pupils
  • An ability to work as part of a team
