Trainee Cover Supervisor
Location: Falmouth & Surrounding Areas, Cornwall
Pay: £100–£120 per day (depending on experience and/or qualifications)

Are you considering a career in teaching? Looking to gain valuable classroom experience? We’re working with several secondary schools in and around Falmouth who are looking for motivated individuals to join them as Trainee Cover Supervisors.
This role is ideal for graduates or anyone with a passion for education who wants to explore life in the classroom before committing to teacher training.
About the Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring that lessons run smoothly. You won’t need to plan lessons or be a subject expert – all resources will be provided. Your main responsibilities will include:

Delivering pre-set lessons to classes of around 30 students

Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a focused learning environment

Taking attendance and providing handover notes for the returning teacher

Supporting pupils in line with school policies and expectations
Successful candidates are confident, adaptable, and enthusiastic, with a proactive approach to supporting learning. If you’re new to the role, you’ll receive full training through our Cover Supervisor Training Programme—designed to give you the tools and confidence to succeed.
About You
We’re looking for individuals who:

Hold a degree or equivalent qualification

Have a strong interest in education and supporting young people

Are confident communicators with a positive attitude

Can manage a classroom with professionalism and care

Are keen to learn and take on new challenges
Experience working in schools is desirable but not essential.
