About the role

Health & Social Care Course Leaver - work in Schools!

Aylesbury

30 hours per week, Monday - Friday

Secondary Age Range Learners 11-19 years

Term Time Only contract (work 39 weeks of year), 9am -3.30pm, Monday to Friday

This is a permanent role based within a school supporting learners with severe, profound and complex needs, including possible medical involvement and personal care.

  • You will be working with some wonderful students and talented staff. Your day to day work will involve supporting some of the most vulnerable learners in society. We are looking for a high calibre of staff with the patience, proactivity, nature and aptitude to provide support dor learners with complex SEND needs with positivity, resilience, kindness and above all, to enjoy your work!
  • We are seeking a number of new employees on behalf of this special school due to an increase in student numbers and higher needs

• Supporting students to access and engage with teacher-led curriculum and learning activities

• Assisting with the implementation of individual education and behaviour plans.

• Supporting with emotional regulation and pastoral needs, as well as educational

• Assisting with personal care, including attending to hygiene needs, and administering medication as required.

• Encouraging independence and promoting self-esteem among students.

• Have experience working with children, young people or adults with special educational needs.

• Possess resilience, common sense, and a commitment to teamwork.

• Demonstrate positive attitudes to encourage independence in students, with an upbeat and 'can do' attitude

• Can communicate effectively with all members of the school community.

• Are committed to ongoing training and professional development.
