The School and Role
Calling all dedicated English Teachers! Join our team at a reputable school in Lancing and make a significant impact on students with special educational needs. As an SEN English Teacher, you will play a vital role in creating inclusive learning environments, delivering tailored instruction, and providing support. The school caters for Secondary aged students with Social, Emotional and Mental health needs (SEMH). You will play a part in providing personalised learning tailored to each students needs, whilst also supporting their wellbeing. This is an opportunity to get students re-engaged with learning within a team who values and supports each other. The school run yearly awards nights for staff, ongoing CPD and free hot meals (part of the schools cook and eat program for students). Requirements:
The desired English SEN Teacher will;
- Have qualified teacher status or relevant qualifications
- Be patient, empathetic and have a calm manner
- Be a good communicator
- Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of school staff
- Have experience working with children who have special needs
- Have strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- QTS or relevant teaching qualification
