English Teacher

Maternity Cover – Feb to Dec 2026)
Location: Near Oldham
Contract: Full-time

Vision for Education is working in partnership with a well-run, high-performing secondary school near Oldham to recruit an English Teacher for a maternity cover starting February 2026 and running through to December 2026.

The school is a popular 11–18 academy known for:

The Role

You will teach English across KS3 and KS4, with potential opportunities in KS5 depending on experience. You’ll join a well-established department with excellent resources and a collaborative approach to planning.

You will:

• Deliver engaging, well-structured English lessons
• Maintain high expectations for learning and behaviour
• Work closely with colleagues to ensure consistency and strong student outcomes
• Contribute to the wider school community where required

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

• Holds QTS/QTLS (or is close to achieving it)
• Has a genuine passion for English
• Brings strong behaviour management and a positive, proactive attitude
• Enjoys working within a collaborative team
