The successful Early Years Teaching Assistant in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria will be supporting children aged 3–5 within a well-established Early Years setting.

As an Early Years Teaching Assistant in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria, you will:

  • Support pupils within Nursery and Reception, helping to deliver engaging, play-based learning opportunities.

  • Assist with phonics, early literacy and numeracy development.

  • Encourage positive social interaction and emotional development.

  • Help to create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment.

  • Work closely with the class teacher and Early Years team to support assessment and progress.

The ideal Early Years Teaching Assistant in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria will have:

  • Previous experience working within a school or nursery setting (essential).

  • A sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

  • A caring, patient and proactive approach.

  • A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
