Vision for Education is looking to appoint an Early Years Foundation Stage Teaching Assistant (TA) to join our successful supply team and work in a friendly primary school in Durham.

About the role

This is a supply TA role, which will commence after May half term until July. Working as part of a dynamic and creative team in a primary school you will be providing support with phonics, maths and other subjects alongside performing 1:1 support when needed. Previous experience supporting SEND children is ideal. This role will be full time, Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 4pm.

About the school

You will be joining a strong small team in the Nursery. The school provides good education to children in Durham. It is a one form entry school who teach Nursery to Year 6 where a small percentage of children have SEND.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Early Years Foundation Stage Teaching Assistant you will:
  • Level 2 in Childcare or Supporting Teaching and Learning
  • Have experience of working as a Teaching Assistant in a school environment.
  • Be experienced in working with smaller nurture groups to boost attainment.
  • Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of school staff.
  • Possess experience working with SEND children on a 1:1 basis.

Salary

£10 to £11 per hour

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
  • Level 2 in Childcare or Supporting Teaching and Learning
