About the roles
- As a Bank Support Worker in Schools, you will provide support to children of different ages, needs, and educational settings throughout the school day.
- Benefit from complete flexibility by simply providing your availability, with all placements arranged for you.
- The role mainly involves covering staff absences within SEN schools in and around the local area.
- Access to a car would be advantageous, however, this is not essential for candidates located near reliable transport links.

- Schools cater for differing needs which include: - young people with special educational needs, such as autism, ADHD, moderate learning difficulties, or social, emotional and mental health (SEMH), Severe Learning Difficulties. SLD, Challenging behaviour across all age groups from Primary, Secondary and young adults.
Requirements
To be considered for the role of BANK Support Worker - schools you will:
- Experience working with children or young people, ideally within a school, SEN, nursery, care, or youth support setting.
- Ability to build positive, supportive relationships with pupils who may have additional needs or face barriers to learning.
- Patience, adaptability, and a calm approach, especially when supporting children with challenging behaviours or emotional needs.
- Good communication and teamwork skills, working effectively alongside teachers and other support staff.
- A flexible and reliable attitude, with the ability to work across different schools and age groups as needed.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
- Access to transport is beneficial, particularly when travelling between multiple school sites.
