1:1 Teaching Assistant – Southend-on-Sea

About the Role
Vision for Education is looking to appoint a caring and motivated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with additional needs in a supportive school in Southend-on-Sea. This role is ideal for someone passionate about making a positive impact on a child’s educational journey by providing tailored, consistent support.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver focused 1:1 support based on the pupil’s individual needs
• Assist the class teacher in adapting learning activities
• Support the pupil’s emotional wellbeing and behavioural development
• Promote engagement, confidence, and independence
• Work closely with teaching staff and SENCO to implement support strategies
• Track and report on the pupil’s progress

Requirements

• Previous experience working with children or young people (education experience desirable)
• A calm, patient, and nurturing approach
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• A genuine interest in supporting pupils with additional needs
• Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3 or similar) are advantageous but not essential
