1:1 Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – Primary School – Thurrock

Location: Thurrock, Essex

Vision for Education are currently seeking a compassionate and committed 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Thurrock. This role involves providing dedicated one-to-one support for a pupil with additional needs, helping them to access learning and develop confidence within the classroom environment.

The Role

• Providing 1:1 support for a primary-aged pupil with additional educational needs

• Supporting learning, emotional regulation, and social development

• Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored support

• Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement throughout the school day

• Assisting with classroom activities and adapting tasks where appropriate

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience working with children or young people (school or SEN setting preferred)

• A calm, patient, and nurturing approach

• A genuine passion for inclusive education and SEN support

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE, Teaching Assistant qualification) are desirable but not essential
