About the role
The role of Youth Support Worker will involve you working with a number of students on a one to one basis, who have been permanently or temporarily been excluded from the mainstream setting. The young people you will be supporting are disengaged from education and therefore a creative and versatile approach is essential to have in this role. In addition to this, the successful person will have a car and business insurance, as transporting students to a variety of vocational settings is required.
A Grade C in maths and English GCSE or equivalent is essential.

Requirements
- • Be able to provide a reference to cover a 6 week period of experience in a relevant setting
- • Grade C in maths and English GCSE or equivalent is essential
- • Previous experience of working with behaviours that challenge is highly desirable
- • Ability to plan and deliver engaging sessions
- • MUST have own vehicle and full UK driving license - business insurance will also be required
- • An enhanced DBS registered to the update service or the willingness to apply for one
- • The ability to work on initiative and proactively
- • The desire to work with young people with special educational needs
About Vision for Education
Salary
£13,000 to £14,000 per year
- 6 weeks referenceable experience within a relevant setting
