Vision for Education's Huddersfield specialist SEND department are recruiting for a Young Offenders Support Worker. This role is based within a specialist school setting and will commence ASAP full time.

About the role

Vision for Education's Huddersfield specialist SEND department are recruiting for a Young Offenders Support Worker to work with young people aged between 11 and 17 within a specialist school setting in Kirklees. This role is to support vulnerable young learners who are no longer in mainstream education (school based setting). The successful Young Offenders Support worker will be able to build relationships quickly and have a none judgemental mindset.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Young Offenders Support Worker you will:
  • Qualifications are desirable but not essential
  • To have recent experience working within a SEND provision
  • To be TEAM Teach trained is a benefit
  • To be patient, pro-active and able to work well in a team

Salary

£85 to £90 per day

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
  • Relevant experience in the past few years working with children, young people or vulnerable adults
