About the Role & School

Vision for Education is currently recruiting on behalf of a specialist alternative provision that supports children and young people who are permanently excluded, at risk of exclusion, or unable to attend school due to medical needs.

The provision is dedicated to helping pupils re-engage with learning and successfully reintegrate into mainstream education through a nurturing, trauma-informed approach.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly skilled inclusion team focused on reducing permanent exclusions by proactively supporting mainstream schools to meet the needs of vulnerable and high-risk pupils. The successful candidate will play a key role in building capacity across schools by sharing specialist expertise in SEMH and behaviour management.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate 3R Team Inclusion Advisor to work collaboratively with mainstream schools, educational partnerships, and external agencies.

The core purpose of the role is to reduce permanent exclusions by supporting schools to develop sustainable, inclusive strategies that enable pupils with SEMH needs and behavioural challenges to thrive in mainstream settings.

The successful candidate will provide leadership, quality assurance, and targeted intervention support while coaching staff and contributing to professional development across a range of educational settings.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Quality Assurance

  • Lead the development of personalised support plans for pupils at risk of exclusion.
  • Coordinate and oversee 1:1 and small group SEMH interventions.
  • Line manage, supervise, and appraise 3R Mentors.
  • Contribute to quality assurance activities, including behaviour walks, audits, and work scrutiny.
  • Support schools to implement effective behaviour systems and reintegration plans.

Professional Partnerships

  • Build strong relationships with school leaders, SENDCOs, pastoral leads, and external agencies.
  • Collaborate with schools to create sustainable strategies that improve engagement and reduce exclusions.
  • Contribute to CPD and coaching programmes to strengthen inclusive practice.

Teaching and Learning Support

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation, safeguarding, and inclusive education.
  • Uphold high standards of child protection, confidentiality, and data security.
  • Promote equality of opportunity and positive outcomes for all pupils.
  • Attend and contribute to relevant meetings and multi-agency forums.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of 3R Team Inclusion Advisor, you will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or have substantial relevant experience.
  • Have significant experience supporting pupils with SEND and SEMH needs.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of behaviour management and inclusive practice.
  • Have experience working with schools and multi-agency professionals.
  • Possess excellent coaching, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Be confident delivering training and supporting staff development.
  • Be organised, resilient, and solution-focused.
  • Show a clear commitment to safeguarding and improving outcomes for vulnerable pupils.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, and qualifications.
