Are you looking to make the next step in your education career? Vision for Education are looking for committed and passionate individuals to support in a Specialist School setting across Chard.

About the role

As a Teaching Assistant you will play a vital role in the learning and development of the pupils as well as their social and emotional mental health.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Providing 1:1 or small group support to students, aiding their personal, social and academic development.
  • Supporting the teacher in a whole class setting.
  • Promoting the social and emotional wellbeing of pupils.
  • Implementing and supporting with Individualised Learning Plans.
  • Promoting a safe and inclusive environment for pupils to thrive.

This is a full-time position 8:30am-3:30pm Monday – Friday. There could be the opportunity for this to turn into a permanent position at the school for a successful candidate

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Teaching Assistant (SEND) you will:

Salary

£12 to £12 per hour

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
  • Previous experience supporting children with additional needs and/or SEMH needs.
