Teaching Assistant, Temporary Role, North Somerset, £12.86 - £15.00 per hour, Vision for Education is seeking to appoint an Experienced Teaching Assistant to work in a primary school in North Somerset starting as soon as possible.

The role
The ideal Teaching Assistant will:

  • Have experience of working with primary school aged children
  • Support pupils who face barriers to learning
  • Be able to engage pupils with learning activities
  • Have a passion for the progress of primary school pupils
  • Be able to manage behaviour effectively

The school
The local primary school in North Somerset welcomes a diverse range of pupils and is seeking a Teaching Assistant who understands the power of collaboration and resilience and insists that they are dedicated to promoting the learning and aspirations of all pupils. The school takes pride in achieving excellence and providing a supportive environment for both staff and students. School hours are 08:30am – 3:30pm, term time only.

Requirements
To be considered for the Teaching Assistant position, you will:

  • Have experience working as a teaching assistant
  • Have a kind and caring nature
  • Be passionate about children’s education
  • Ideally hold a driving licence and have access to a vehicle

All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.

Salary Requirements
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position is

  • to hold an enhanced DBS on the update service (child workforce or child and adult workforce)
