The School and Role:
We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and reliable Teaching Assistant / Midday Supervisory Assistant (MDSA) to join a friendly and supportive primary school in Heathfield. This role may be full-time or part-time, combining classroom support with lunchtime supervision, and is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children throughout the school day.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support learning in the classroom, work with small groups and individual pupils, and help deliver targeted interventions. As an MDSA, you will supervise pupils during lunch breaks, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and positive behaviour both in the dining hall and on the playground.

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience working with children in a school or childcare setting

A patient, caring, and flexible approach

The ability to support learning across the primary curriculum

Confidence managing behaviour in a calm and positive manner

Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

Experience supporting pupils with additional needs (desirable but not essential)
